Woodwork

Crackers!
For the leaving cert, as part of the "construction studies" curriculum, each student must build a project. In true Irish style each and every one of us slacked off until the final week of construction, in which we all panicked and shoved our half arsed brain children kicking and screaming into existence. It was a long and painful labour too, let me tell you. I wonder if all women have this much hatred for their children as I do my project? I decided at the start of the year to be different and build a home bar for serving alcohol and what have you. In theory this was a good idea. In reality it is a hulk of a creation. Picture a small car. Then cut it in half width ways. That's about it. Our main problem here, however, is not the size of the bar but the lack of help I have had making it. This is no one's fault exactly, our teacher has a lot on his plate with all of these monsters springing into existence, but he unfortunately happens to be very vague with his instructions and tends to walk off mid sentence. So when instruction fails to make sense, as it often does, we sand. If I never see another square of sandpaper in my life I will die a happier woman. Long story short, the finish date was yesterday, and I'm stuck with this... box. That is what it is. I have 7 shelves left to make by yesterday. Pictures will be up, eventually.
In other news, everything is going pretty good! There is no particular reason for this I suppose, but life is going smoothly, at least for me, which leaves me free to help everyone else with their problems. I always enjoy helping people so its a good thing.

Anyway!

Boys, Projects & Self-Image

Sam here....

Ok, today marks the 5 weeks until my exams moment, and I'm feeling good. I wonder how long this feeling will last, but if I fail, there's always another choice or way. Life isn't going to end! I have my Engineering, History & Geography projects done, And I'm ahead in most classes, so things are looking up!

Myself and Dar are talking again, and it's nice. He's actually being really nice to me. I have a half day on Friday so I'm seeing him for lunch. This will be the first time I've seen him since November. Me and Jeff are talking too. So I'm pretty happy with that. I'm on good terms with everyone this last week or two and I don't know why but suddenly everything is looking up, and the smell of freedom is lingering like fresh cut grass.

I in the last 2 days I've watched Edge Of Seventeen, Shelter & Get Real. I've decided this summer I'm going to gym my arse off and bag a man. Oh, and find employment too, I suppose. I have a call back for some bank in the next week or two actually!

Despite being overweight, I'm happy with the way I look. I must be on drugs. Seriously, I'm so ridiculously happy today! Does anyone in Ireland actually read this apart from Holly, Hannah and I? Hit me up with a comment or a mail anytime! vodkaandcrackers@hotmail.com

Rant

Sam here....

I'm stealing K's idea and writing an open letter;

To Whom In The Radio Industry It May Concern,

I, and legions of my peers are quite frankly sick of these 'conversations' on the radio, plugging some shopping centre, night club, car insurance, bank, insurance, mobile phone or assorted crap! It typically goes like this

"Oh Hi John."
"Hi Claire. I just got great insurance at BigNameLessCorporation."
"Oh I heard that they have a great rate, of just 4.81% APR"
"And you can even sign up on their website!"
"Do you have their number?"
"1800 100 100. That's 1800 100 100. Give them a ring any time."
"terms and conditions apply"
Or;

"Hey, are you coming for lunch?"
"No, I've got to meet my bank to apply for a mortgage"
"What are you going to a bank for? I went to MortgageScam. Their great"
"(enthusiastically)MortgageScam? What is that?"
"Their a new company. For a limited time their offering 88.99% APR and free contents cover."
"Wow I'll give them a call. Gimme that number?"
"1800 NoHouse4U"
"Thanks, I gotta go!"

Oh yeah, I totally want a mortgage now! Bring it to me baby! NO! Who are these advertisements convincing? Seriously? Them two actors weren't going for lunch! Who write this crap. If I was writing adverts I'd throw the facts down. This is how it's go;

"Right, here's the story. MortgageScam. 88.99% APR. Based in Dublin. New company. Free stuff giving away because we've fuck all customers. 1800NoHouse4U is the number, OK? Great."

Not that difficult, is it? Didn't fucking think so!

Yours
Sam.

Chronicles Of Youth - The Kiss

Sam here....

I'm going to tell you about the first time I ever kissed a boy. I'm cringing writing them words actually!
So it was the 9th or 10th of July last year, and Holly was having her first, of many amazing parties. I'd only met her for the first time days before. So anyway. The party, I had arrived and knew Holly, and this boy we'll call Jeff. So Holly, Jeff and all their friends from around (Holly & I live on opposite sides of the city) and everything was going well. I was mingling, talking to people, boozing, just being myself.
So yeah, I was at the foot of the stairs and Jeff was sitting about 3 steps from the top, waving with his hand for me to come up. So I go up, and there's some smalltalk, then He kisses me. And I kiss him back. Then he grabs my hand and leads me into a bedroom. Your imagination is filling in the gaps....blah...blah...blah. There's a knock on the door. Jeff quickly informs me that not many people know he's gay. So I hide under the bed and drunk party girls look for cans of cider(yes, cans of cider. We're classy like that) while I'm hiding under the bed. I see a pair of knees. I see a hand begin to search under the bed. A bag is dragged out centimeters from my face, contents removed and pushed back in. Girls leave, and thew grope resumes.

That was a damn good night!

Siblings & Systematic Abuse

So last night I came home and my sister was reading 'City Solo' and '1000 Tiny Things I Hate'. I have the nervous feeling that she's edging ever closer to discovering this blog! As a result, I've removed the picture (which was waaaay out of date anyway!).

Right now I should be in school but my day would have gone like this;

  • English
  • Free
  • Free
  • Math
  • BREAK
  • Free
  • Free
  • LUNCH
  • Free
  • Free
  • Engineering

So there's not a chance of me going in! I mean it's such a waste of time! And I'm getting some very productive work done here! Like making a sandwich, blogging, excessively masturbating, watching the builders toil. Home education is the way to go!

Queen Bitch isn't talking to me, and it's actually not bothering me. Yesterday they went out shopping and the second they left, I went from studying, to on the phone! So I was on the house phone talking away, and a call came in from my dads phone. So I ignored it and kept talking. Then my mobile rang, and I ignored that. So both phones rang about 9 times each, before I got off the phone. I rang my dad back and asked him what was so urgent.

"Put the oven on."

I hung up on him. Anyway they arrive home and it starts shouting at me about what if they'd crashed or it was important. I laughed in her face and just shrugged it off. I mean a total of 24 missed calls for the fucking oven?

She's not talking to me now. Crazy old woman. The second she retires, it'll be straight off to Lea's Cross for her!

A Happy Sadness

Sam here....

Today is a sad day. One year ago tonight my Grandmother passed away from cancer. I wish I knew what age she was. She was the last old person in the family, with my dad and his siblings now being the oldest.
What's sadder is that the executors of her estate have been dicking the others around in terms of what's happening with the house now. Apparently it's been sold, and nobody has seen even 1 cent yet. The lawyers are never in, so there's some dodgy dealings afoot there. It's bringing my dad down, but I have this numb feeling, yet I'm happy that she's away from it all now. I think this is the closure I didn't get at the funeral. I didn't cry(it's going to be this Mondays chronicles of youth entry).

My dad keeps saying 'I'm fine' periodically, and I don't know what to say to him, or should I just leave it?

My laptop had to be wiped today as well, So its defiantly not a good day all round. I had all my important things (porn, music, photos & A copy of my C.V.) backed up to my iPod, so it's OK.

The Irish Way Of Life

Sam here....

Drink is a serious problem here in Ireland. We're second to the UK for our consumption in Europe. I don't drink every weekend, I'm not a binge drinker, but let me tell you how a Saturday night in Dublin would go down.

We'd meet anywhere between 7 & 8. Out of a group of about 14 of us, 4 are over 18, the legal age to buy drink. Orders would be written down and consolidated. If there were three naggins of vodka for 3 girls, we'd buy a bottle. It's cheaper & you get more. There's 7 off licences (Liquor stores/ Off Sales) within walking distance of where we'd meet. So Say the order was
  • 3 naggins
  • 6 Heineken
  • 3 cobra
  • I naggin So Co
  • 2 large fat frog
  • 3 large Smirnoff Ice.
We couldn't get that in one place, so we(the over 18s)split the order up and go to individual off licences to get them and meet back. And it can be done. Very easily, there's never an issue, except maybe buying too much in the one place.

Oh, there's a 2000Euro fine if your caught buying drink for minors, but the chances of getting caught are so slim, and the under 18s are in somebody's house waiting for the drink anyway. That's our lovely loophole.

I've got a solution;

A 'UnitCard'. Simply everybody in the Republic Of Ireland over the age of 18 will be given one of these cards. It will be a personal account. Every retailer that sells Alcohol will have a scanner that these cards are swiped into. There is a weekly 'Ceiling Limit' on these cards, like you can't buy significant amounts in the space of one hour or a weekly limit of units? This would defiantly stem the problem. Also, what about a stepped system? As in 18-21 year olds have a limited amount of units, 21-30 year olds have an increase and 30+ is unlimited?

Just putting that out there!

I love the chronicles of youth mondays, next week I'm on board! And about Sam's mother following him? I laughed but I'm honestly not surprised... she is a strange strange woman. Its a wonder she produced someone so beautifully disfunctionally normal. =]

Dirt

Sam here....

The fine shimmer of grease on top of my coffee. Is a clean cup now too much to expect in this house? I know the kitchen is in rag order because of the builders, but seriously.
(Coffee is my latest addiction because of the exams)

Speaking of grease, my skin has gone to shit because of the stress of these exams. I don't get spots. Ever. My skin doesn't support them. Lately, however, their breaking out. I'm not amused, but I digress.

If you haven't guessed by now, I've got nothing to say today. Absolutely nothing.

Chronicles Of Youth - The Transformation

Sam here....

I thought this would be a good idea, and I'll see how it goes. Every Monday, I'm going to write up an event or story from my distant or near past which I think is relevant to where & how I am today.

In the summer of 2006 I changed from a repressed downbeat boy into a comfortable outgoing man. Here's my story;

I hung out with a group of people in 2005/2006 and I didn't fit in at all. They had an inkling I was gay, but didn't actually know. The wore tracksuits, spat a lot, swore & they smoked like chimneys. They spent their time laying around being nasty to each other. Basically they weren't nice and not my scene whatsoever. I knew a friend of mine from school had these friends who were nice, but a bit strange, or so I thought, but I never saw him outside school, despite the fact we lived in the same area.

One day I was sent to the shops to get milk& bread and I ran into a friend of mine. It was mid- summer and I was restless. He asked me what I was up to and I just replied with 'nothing much'. I went with him and he was heading back to the strange group, but I was unaware of this.
So I arrived back and I was introduced. They were all so nice and friendly towards each other, I thought it was a joke at first, like they were being over polite as an act. Anyway, I spent the afternoon with them, but I was in work at 6 so I had to go get changed and the like. When I was heading they asked me for my number, and I gave it. I was in work, was out at about 8. At 8:45 I got a call asking me was I coming out from one of them. I went out sheepishly, and they were lying in the park, still as nice as I left them, on this beautiful warm summers evening listening to Fall Out Boy, I can still remember the song. They were so nice, and genuine.
That night I got more numbers, texted them and whatnot, and when I told them I was gay they were so cool about it, it was unreal! The next day I spent with them and the day after that, and the day after that. I ditched the chain smoking losers and met these nice people.

Almost 2 years on, I'm happy, have a great group of close friends and just love where I am socially. I'm a funny guy, and before I was so repressed that I never knew, but when I'm relaxed, I made people laugh. There's so much more, It just makes me feel amazing.

That was the first one, what do you think?

Every Breath You Take

Sam here....

My mother has been following me. No joke. I arrived home from school for lunch today and to grab a book I forgot(I live really near my school.) So I arrive home and about twenty seconds later I get a phone call asking me where I was going, walking through *insert street here*. How did she know? She admitted to following me. How strange is that?!

I mean she admitted to following me around the city centre when I was younger, but seriously. I'm an adult at this stage, so she really has no right.

I rang her on my way back to school and tore the head off her as she defended what she had been doing. I gave it about 20 minutes after I hung up and her and expected a text apologising, but none came, so every time I see her in the house I keep saying stuff like

"I'm going upstairs if you want to follow me"

Much to the puzzlement of my siblings, might I add!

Ireland

Sam here....

It really annoys me when people think Ireland is a small catholic country where everyone has red hair and is called Seamus. I'm not stereotyping, some people actually have that opinion. No. Shake that image.

In 2005, 11,000 people were done for drink driving, There were 41 armed burglaries, 312 armed assaults, 54 murders, an average of 488 people being held in custody every day.

Not so innocent now, is it?

72% of venues across the country tested positive for cocaine in the bathrooms or otherwise.

I don't want to paint Ireland as a bad place, but I want people to see it as a first world modern country, not a innocent, uninterested country.

*Insert Witty Title Here*

Sam here....

It's 7 weeks tomorrow until the biggest exam I'll ever sit. I should be stressed but I just don't care. I"ll regret it later but right now I want to find a hole, crawl into it, and die!
Iggy pop is having a concert in the lining of my stomach, or so it feels. I'm in bits, can't hold any food down, the lot. Needless to say I'm never drinking vodka again, EVER!

It might just be me but I think this is really weird. My dad was 50 on Friday, fair enough, but his twin is having the entire family over THIS coming Friday. For a party, you say? Not at all, We're going and ordering a Chinese to her house. Everyone is ordering and paying for their own Chinese food at her house? That struck me as really odd. It's the sort of thing us smelly students do, not 50 year old women! Just thought I'd share that! And I'm missing a session in a mutual friends house for that!
The Elderly pair are going to Nice, France the weekend after my exams finish, so I'm having a party the night they leave. Here's the beauty of it. The next day I'm going to leave the house spotless, take pictures of it, and when my parents come home, my brother & his mates have trashed the house, I'll have timestamped pictures of the house when I left it, and get in NO trouble.
Oh I meant to say as well, my exams finish on the 20th of June, and at 10AM on the 21st of June we're going down the country on a family holiday. Oh joy.

12 OF 12

The Outragous amount of Spam I get! I clear that folder monthly!
My camera accidentally took a picture, but I like the angle, so I kept it.

I was trying to take a picture, but the rain got in the way!
I loved these! Their fabulous. There's mirrors on the walls too!

I don't remember taking this picture.
Or this one, incidentally lol

Me, just about to head to a party, looking like a cheap Pete Doherty.
I put a sparkler in a bottle upside down, and it was sparking up the alcohol. It was amazing.

'Studying' history. I had written 2 essays without getting out of bed :)
The state of a mates bedroom. If she sees this, I'm toast lol

Connolly Luas station, in the rain. Not nice, too much cement.
The freakiest painting I've ever seen on a wall in Fatima, Dublin.

My god it's been a while since I blogged! So much has happened since then, so allow me to fill all ye in! Saturday night was party of the month! Hannah's 18th. We arrived and the garden was amazing. There was deck had chairs and tables everywhere with huge umbrellas and fires everywhere. there was lights in the trees as well. Everyone was so nice, and I got to see old and new friends. It was great. Hannah's mammy is an absolute sweetheart, she made everyone breakfast in the morning while we cleaned the muck off her floor. It rained so their garden looked like a festival campsite. There's so many jokes and funny moments but you'd have to know everyone so there's no point in telling them!
There was this kid in a part of Dublin called Tallaght. He was struck by lightning, right; Your more likely to win the lottery twice than be struck by lightning. You have a 1 in 41,000,000 chance of being struck by lightning. From the 3 car crashes he had a metal plate in his arm. God, or whoever your having yourself, marked him from the start. I appear to be the only one who finds that funny. I even made up a joke;

'What's more fun than getting struck by lightning? Winning the lotto twice' LOL

I have no gay friends to speak of. I could count them on one hand, if I had 7 fingers. I want to surround myself with them. I feel quite closeted, despite the fact that I've stopped making an effort to hide my sexuality. I thought gays were supposed to ssensed danger? I think there are 5 vital senses and then there are a slit-load of developed senses. I think a bit of common sense and knowledge bring more of them out. Just a little theory I have going/Brain Dump.
Anyone know how to get rid of a Trojan horse virus for free? My brother got it on the house computer and it spread through the wireless to my laptop. I'm afraid to log into anything now :(

Happy Again...

Sam here....

I'm feeling a lot better than I was yesterday. I rang The Samaritans & the lady on the phone was really nice and helpful. I wrote a load of stuff down and now everything is in perspective.
Today is my Dads' 50th birthday. Today has been really good. We got up, had champagne for breakfast, went for food and a walk. They all went for lunch, and I went to school for last 3 classes and to town to buy Hannah's birthday present from Holly & I. She'll love it! So now we're heading out to dinner and on to the pub. Tomorrow is Hannah's 18th and the excitement has been building for ages and now it's all anyone can talk about really. So yeah....

Happy Friday :)

Ugh

Sam here....

Today went in the blink of an eye. Nothing happened. Well to say 'nothing' isn't true;

Today I;
  • Had a shower
  • Talked to the builders
  • worked on my engineering project
  • Had class
  • Laughed at my math teacher
  • fell down the stairs in school
  • Had lunch
  • Had more class
  • Did extra geography
  • Came home
  • Uninstalled all the crap from the computer that was slowing it down
  • Tidied my room
  • Went onto the Internet for ages
  • Studied
  • Had dinner
  • Studied
  • Internet
  • Went to Spar to get milk & candles
  • Rang people
  • Had a bath
  • Went to bed.
I'm restless and slightly unhappy and I can't put my finger on it.

Despite initially resisting him being a bastard, I'm seeing Dar tomorrow solely for sex. I'm classy like that. Tomorrow is also my dads 50th birthday as well.

Sigh...

Sorry to be all down today, but I can't help it right now :(

Weekends & worries

Sam here....

This weekend is going to be insane. Right so Friday is my dad's 50th birthday and I'm taking the day off school to do family stuff and celebrate. Then on Saturday I have to go hangover removal lessons, and spend the day getting ready for Hannah's 18th that night. I have to get her present, get a shirt/t-shirt, get a haircut, buy drink for myself and some friends. Then out to Hannah's to do whatever it is us teenagers do at house parties. Then I have to be home early Sunday morning for the 11 o clock mass for my Grandmothers 1 year anniversary of her passing. The family stuff with the extended family for my grandmother and my dad. So there's no rest for the wicked!

I spend way too much time thinking. It's exactly 6 weeks to my graduation and today we were preparing for it, by picking out music, writing speeches, deciding on a theme etc etc etc. But it got me thinking. Seniors who graduated when I was a junior always come back to visit favourite teachers and the like. They're grown-ups. So what am I? When I was a junior we all looked up the the seniors as mature and all the rest and now that I'm a senior, I don't know what people look up to? It's the same now, I'm a senior looking up to college students? When will the 'looking up' chain end? I'm just plain confused by the whole thing.

Washing Machines & Wishes

Sam here....

I was out of the house this morning at seven so I didn't notice much in my slumbery state. When I arrived home to find this urban monstrosity in my front garden I was suitable shocked! It gives off the impression of total white trash and I don't want the neighbours to think less of us. I care what other people think of me. I care about appearences. I'm a snob. I wish I was from a better area. So there, a bit of brute honesty for you! The weird thing is, out washing machine is sitting in what's left of our kitchen (the builders are in) and I've never seen the one in the above picture before in my life. I don't know where it care from.

Needless to say, it's now shamefully cowering in the back garden with the high hedge around it.

A household appliance on the front lawn! Oh the very though of it....

NightWalking, Boys & Irish

Sam here....

So I'm just rounding up my weekend here! On friday I had school and homework and study and all that jazz so I was up to my balls with it! I watched Fight Club and went to bed! Got up Saturday and just spend most of the day working and sleeping. At about 8ish I went out to see Hannah in a suburb of Dublin! It was dark by the time I got out there and I was in hers drinking tea and talking to her and her Mammy about her 18th birthday this weekend! So Aaron (an ex) and a friend of his came over and we went out. We were walking along and we bumped into Lee, a friend of ours! Lee is hot! and single, and funny, and pretty, and has a 6pac. I want him inside me basically. Get a few vodka's into me and we'll talk! So we wandered around the suburbs and talked(I oggled), then we went back to Hannah's and had more tea and the like! It was really weird but it was a great night altogether!
Sunday I woke up, fewlt like shit(which was weird because I hadn't been drinking?) and just studied some more! BORING! That's the way it went but I left the House to get credits for my phone from the shop and ran into my friends doing knick knacks(ring the doorbell and running away) on houses on my road! So I joined them and surprisingly I had more fun than I've had in ages, despite how childish it was!
Then today, the day of judgement! I have to do Irish in school, it's compulsory, so today I had an oral test from somebody on the examinations board. Never been more nervous but I think I did OK. That's why I was studying like mad all weekend! So now I never have to speak Irish again! But I might keep it up, just because I should keep the notational language up blah blah blah

My dad turns 50 on Friday so it's panic stations here, with the builders still here building the extension and all....

Happy Monday!

A philosophical argument

Sam here....

So in school I pick up bits of philosophy in Religion and English. But we learnt something that struck me. During adolescence your rebelling because you need to assert your independence. Hormones also have a large part to play in this, but I'm not going to go there. The teacher basically said that we're all giving out parents hell now, but by the time we're 20 or 21, we'll be friends in a mature stable relationship.

Ok. So myself and the 'Parents' fight a lot, but lately we've been fighting less and less. I mean it was last Friday when she started talking to me again and hasn't stopped since. This is positive, right? A mature step in our adult relationship? I presume so, but Presumption is the mother of all fuck-ups, so we'll see where that one goes.

Our main fighting cause is me studying, or In 9 weeks I'll never have to sit another day of school. So then what will we fight about? Nothing hopefully, we'll have a positive adult relationship. As I typed those last 3 words I just had a thought; My sexuality. That's the next thing she'll not accept and we'll fight about maybe. Am I crossing my bridges before I come to them?

I'm more confused than I was when I started this post and it was suppost to be positive

Boys smell. Again.

Morning all! Von Cracker at your service >.<

I'm aware its been a while, I've been busy and stuff, but I have a long post to make up for it! =]
Sam darling your post made me laugh like a lunatic! I HATE that in class when they ask you what music you like! "Em... rock?" You feel like you arn' t doing yourself justice! And when they ask you to specify, I always end up saying "U2" and "The Red Hot Chilli Peppers" even though I listen to about three songs between them in an entire month! I think thats probably because I don't HAVE a favourite band, I'll think something is amazing one week and then crap the next!!!

Right, so Paul. That was unfortunate. We got in this stupid fight about stupid things, and he decided it was better if we just left it. *sigh* Fine. Whatever. (And yes that is the very most information you will ever get from me about it.)
Jamie is also being a twat. In fact I have pretty much decided him and Hannah are meant to be. which is good
=]
Everyone now seems obsessed with setting me up with a friend of ours. He is lovely and we really click, but I think I need a break for a while. After the leaving, perhaps. But for now, fun and games! Prawncrackwhoar is back with a vengance baby! =D

Our leaving cert officially starts next week with Irish and european language oral examinations, and the music practicals. OK, giggle it up, its funny. ORAL. Ha. Now we get back to how terrifying it all is!!! Isish is fine because unlike the vast majority of the population in Ireland, I can actually speak Irish. It is a dying language but such an effort is being made to revive it! "Tír gan teanga, tír gan anam" (Teer gon chang-a, teer gon an-im) is an Irish proverb that translates as "a country without a language is a country without a soul" Pretty appropriate. Its being carved into my woodwork project actually! So anyway, for Irish I am sorted, but for french? Ha. "je ne comprond pas. Je ne parles pas le Francais" Correct me there if I am wrong. I basically do not speak french.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xgcIpKL86Jk (I picked this one, absolutely love it. And if nothing else you can watch it for Zach Braff!!! =D)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wflylF_eIm4 (and this one, traditional Irish (Y) ha ha)

so yeah... fun for all! (I'm so scared to be honest =[)

Big Ones, Musical Judgement and An Outhouse

Sam here....

I"m feeling jubilant today, like nothing can go wrong! It's wonderful la la la. I wonder how long it will last. Anyway, down to business. Today in Irish I witnessed an adolescents nightmare. You know the way that When someone asks to see your iPod and evereyone is like 'Eh, Eh, my sister's music is on it too'. Or, It's not all mine, it just copied everything'. Yeah, well in Irish today we were asked
"cen sort ceol a mhaith leat?" - which means, 'what sort of music do you like?'.
You can see the panicked look on the persons face and when they say something not universally accepted, the abuse will roll for days. God I'm going to miss school. This day 6 weeks I graduate :(

I was having issues about this and that, so I googled until I found Outhouse. Poured my heart and soul out, and feel amazing now. All this talking lark does work, I've decided, and it really helps!

Hannah left me a comment earlier, on my bebo, and I'm going to be lazy, justy copying and pasting;

Babes.
i wish you had of been on the bus with me today.
you would have actually passed out from laughing!

All these aul wans(old women) on the bus home from mass,
one sitting beseide me..she was mad looking..
typical insane old woman..blood red lips..lots of animal print..
turns to me and goes "Do you want to see me petals love?
i'm tellin' ye..no word of a lie..Jesus appeared to me on these petals
"

Though i was going to wet myself.

Then..there was this little group of them..
and i just happened to hear one saying..
"I've a huge one at home..it's really big, it's great you don't get that wet"

and they proceeded to talk about umbrellas for another twenty minutes..the sexual inuendo..i thought i was gonna pass out.
x

So I don't want to put anyone on a downer or anything, and because of that I've delayed saying this for a while. Em, my Mum is totally against me being gay. And it's so subtle that if you were looking in from the outside, you might not notice it. I have a couple of key examples;

  • It was whoring rain out, and I wanted to take an umbrella. This was when my hair was long and it would go curly and frizzy. Her words when she saw me leaving with an umbrella were "Proper boys don't carry umbrella's". I was taken aback but was still attempting to impress her at the time so I let it go. It happened again recently, but in the place of words were a serious look and the words "you don't want people to think...".
  • Special K red berries. It's a pretty standard cereal really. Flakes, dried fruit, and it was that or wheetabix. I picked the red berries. The 'Mother' figure practically grabbed the box out of my hands and said "That's a girls cereal. Eat something proper, your a boy.".
  • We were talking about my recent weight gain. I've put on a load of weight I plan to gym my ass off to get rid of. Seriously. Anyway, we were talking and I said "I can't wait to be slim". "Slim", she said "Is what girls are. Thin is what you'll be". I can't see the difference, can you?
I'm not sure if it's me being paranoid or if it's just her being a bitch but that seems like she desparetly wants me to be straight.

Sorry for being such a downer, but I had to get that out of my system.

Happy tuesday everyone, And it's April now, summers almost here!
